Foundation stage teacher Kerry Ann McElvouge and teaching assistant Emma Dobson have started using ICT at Waterloo Primary School. Chris Boylan from Leeds City Learning Centres went to find out what impact they have been able to make.
How did they do this?
The idea is to introduce ICT across the curriculum including the use of using talk-boards, computer software and digital cameras. The results have shown an increase in confidence among all but especially quiet children. Emma uses flip cameras for classroom observation. Introducing the technology at this stage means it is less alien to the children when they move up to higher year groups.
